RNCM Research Groups
Much of the RNCM’s research activity crystallises around four core areas, with research groups in musicology, composition, Practice-as-Research and the Centre for Music Performance Research (research in music psychology, music education and cognate disciplines).
Teaching at RNCM is informed by research. Members of the four research groups supervise MPhil and PhD students in the Graduate School who are undertaking research in composition, musicology, music psychology and performance, and contribute to MMus teaching and supervision, and the RNCM’s undergraduate programmes.
